Local Waimate Artist Bill Scott has created a mural depicting a steam train pulling out of Waimate, loaded with supplies such as grain, wool, and coal from local farmers. The mural is to be displayed on the Waimate swimming pool fence — the historic site where the old Waimate Railway Station once stood.
